I could definitely do an X1M. I don’t think MB is selling a ton of the AMG GLAs but a little competion never hurt anyone.

A bright green GLA45 AMG with the wing is one of my “I have a stupid amount of money and can do stupid things” car choices.

Does that thing ride better than the mini? I work with a lady that had one for a while, (beautiful blue one - I think they are arguably the best looking mini) but the thing rode like a brick - it was oddly harsh. BMW must have figured things out - every BMW I’ve ever been in are dialed in - I love that very well controlled but still supple ride.

I’m the green or blue?

It rides great. Its based on the new Clubman which is more compliant than the first two gens Minis. And on top of that, the X1 has a pretty meaty sidewall on the tires so it helps a bit.

Does the X1 get fancy-pants adaptive dampers or just the traditional stuff?

Traditional so far. Sport tuned on the M-Sport models. But an M or a Soft-M could get the adjustables!

We get the RSQ3. It’s right up there with the Macan as my absolute favorite cross over.

We don’t get that over here...

We do, it’s been for sale for a year now and I have never seen one in the wild. I moved to a big city where an M4, AMG GTSs are not uncommon and I have yet to see one.
